FA 315 Classical Art
An examination of the art and architecture produced by different Mediterranean societies from around 2500 B.C. to around 300 A.D. with particular emphasis on ancient Egypt, Greece, Etruria, and/or Rome. Works of art will be studied in the context of historical developments in philosophy, religion, and political power. Prerequisite: FA 201 or permission of instructor.
