FA 345 Renaissance Art

This course examines the development of the visual arts of Italy, Germany, France, and/or the Low Countries from the 14th through the 16th centuries within the historical context of religious practice, humanist philosophy, politics, socio-economic development, and science. Particular emphasis will be given to works of art in the Washington, DC region, with field trips to area museums. Prerequisite: FA 202 or permission of instructor.
