FA 365 Baroque Art

This course examines developments in European painting, graphic art, and sculpture from around 1560 to around 1750 within the historical context of international politics and national identity; religion and philosophy; and other expressions of culture. It will rely primarily on works of art in the greater Washington, DC region to study the period, with field trips to area museums. Prerequisite: FA 202 or permission of instructor.
