FA 370 19th-Century Art

This course examines European and American art from the late 18th century through the end of the 19th century, within the context of rapidly developing ideas (e.g. Enlightenment, Romanticism, Socialism) and changes to society brought on by industry, revolution, etc. Emphasis will be given to works of art from local and regional museums, with field trips to different collections. Prerequisite: FA 202 or permission of instructor. Liberal Arts Core/University Requirements Designation: WI. (3)
