HPR 591OL Research Methods in Health Education and Promotion

This hybrid online course provides an overview of the process and critical elements of research and evidence-based practice, including qualitative and quantitative methods commonly used in health education. Specifically, this course prepares the student to: access and interpret research publications; critically engage in discussions of published articles; differentiate between common study designs; integrate health behavior theory into studies; conduct common statistical analyses used in health education; and develop practical evidence-based research-related skills. Prerequisites: HPR 501, HPR 540, and HPR 555. (3)
