HIM 365 Integrated Health Care Technology

Examines the use of advanced technology in the health care field through research and inquiry with the result of improved quality of care, increased availability of services, and a reduction in costs. The cost looks at existing technology applications including imaging, telemedicine, telesurgery, robotics, statistics, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), as well as emerging technologies that will be implemented in the near future. This course uses active- and inquiry-based techniques and includes several writing assignments. Prerequisites: EN 102 and HIM 125. Liberal Arts Core/University Requirements Designation: DSINQ, WI.
