IS 233 Introduction to Quantitative Science
This synthesis course introduces students to the importance of interdisciplinary work in mathematics and the sciences. Modules are used to demonstrate connections between scientific phenomena and techniques in mathematics and computation. Students will develop a broad understanding of how mathematics and computer simulations can be used to understand phenomena in the natural sciences. Prerequisites:a grade of C or better in MA 181 (or MA 172), MA 218, and BIO 151. (3)
