MSC 378 Contract Management and Administration

This course addresses the administration and management of a government contract. It focuses on the award and post-award processes including contract start-up, performance, and contract shut-down. It covers the technical and fundamental procedures basic to contract administration, examining both theory and practice. The course emphasizes enforcement of contract terms and conditions, cost overruns, change orders and contract modifications, disputes and appeals, financial analysis, contract authority and interpretation, contract termination, and audits. Prerequisite/corequisite: MSC 358. (3)
