NU 226 Introduction to the Profession of Nursing
This course introduces the student to what it means to be a member of the profession of nursing. The values, principles, and standards developed by the profession are discussed as a framework for personal and professional development. Students are introduced to concepts related to the nursing process, professional roles, organizations, and journals. The use of evidence-based practice in addressing prevention and health promotion is discussed. (1)
