Honors Program

The University offers an Honors Program for undergraduate students wishing to augment their academic experience with a specialized curriculum designed to provide greater depth, breadth, and challenge. The program's 21-credit course requirements can be integrated into any major.

Any student may apply to the Honors Program, but admission is competitive and limited to a maximum of 20 participants each year. Applicants will be chosen based on a variety of credentials. The following criteria are recommended for those seeking program admission:

minimum high school or college GPA of 3.5;
minimum composite SAT score of 1200 and/or ACT score of 26;
credit for English Composition 101 (EN 101); and
for international students, a minimum score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language of 617 on the paper-based test, or 260 on the computer-based test.

Applicants must also submit an application essay and recommendations.
