Business Administration (M.B.A.)


The Master of Business Administration degree prepares graduates for broader management responsibilities or for specialized technical work in business. Its specific goals are:

Note: The School of Business Administration strongly recommends that candidates have at least two years of work experience before applying.

Degree Requirements

Students may be required to take one or more graduate courses from the Foundation Component and additional preparatory courses at the undergraduate level. The M.B.A. program then requires the completion of the Advanced Component, which includes the selection of three elective concentration courses.

Foundation Component

The Foundation Component is designed to ensure that students are academically prepared for the Advanced Component. Foundation courses are:

A course within the Foundation Component may only be waived under any of the following circumstances:

No courses in the Advanced Component may be waived. Students will take the following courses in the Advanced Component:

Three electives are required. Although elective courses are listed under specific fields, students are not required to select all their electives from the same field. Students should consult with their advisors before selecting electives. All electives must be graduate courses from the School of Business Administration.
