Responding to significant residential and commercial growth in Loudoun County and its surrounding communities, Marymount University has an extension site at its Loudoun Academic Center in Sterling, Virginia.
The Center offers a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs that serve both traditional and nontraditional students. Through the Center, students may complete a bachelor's degree with specializations in Business, Computer Science, Education, Humanities, or Psychology.
Graduate programs are available in Community Counseling, Education, Human Resource Management, and Management. The Center also supports distance learning programs and is a residency center for an online R.N. to B.S.N. degree program.
Since 1996, Marymount's Office of Corporate Outreach has developed partnerships with regional corporations and government agencies. Targeted graduate and undergraduate degree and certificate programs, as well as customized training, are offered on-site and at convenient regional locations. Marymount's recent corporate/government partners have included the CIA, Computer Sciences Corporation, Navy Federal Credit Union, the Office of Naval Research, Sallie Mae, and the U.S. Postal Service.
Marymount University is a member of The Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area. Other members are American University, The Catholic University of America, Gallaudet University, George Mason University, Georgetown University, The George Washington University, Howard University, Southeastern University, Trinity University, the University of the District of Columbia, and the University of Maryland at College Park.
