Orientation

The University provides new students with an orientation program to prepare them academically and socially for their Marymount experience.

The undergraduate first-year student orientation programs prepare students for their academic experience. During the program, students will meet with an academic advisor and prepare a class schedule. Students also participate in social activities, get acquainted with classmates, and familiarize themselves with the Washington, DC, area.

Transfer students also participate in orientation, advising, and registration sessions. The transfer program allows these students to learn more about Marymount, as well as meet with an advisor and register for classes

Graduate students also take part in orientation programs to help them become acquainted with resources and services at Marymount and to provide an introduction to graduate academic life.

An orientation session is also held for adult students at the Loudoun Academic Center prior to the fall semester.
