PSC 103 Introduction to the Physical Sciences
Provides a general physical science background for non-science majors. Develops an understanding of scientific processes and reasoning, including knowledge of basic laws in physics and of the concepts critical to chemistry, earth science, and astronomy, as well as an appreciation for the interrelationships among sciences and their relationships to other disciplines. Emphasis is placed on solving problems and developing logical hypotheses. As part of the laboratory requirement, each student must investigate and present a synopsis of a current scientific topic. (4)
