HCA 301 Introduction to Health Services and Administration (3)
Provides the conceptual and technical foundation in the administration of health services. Focuses on the unique characteristics of the health care delivery process in the United States. Students are introduced to medical terminology and to concepts of disease and health. The course fosters understanding of the interactions among health, environments, organizations, populations, and health professions.
HCA 457 Current Issues in Health Care Policy (3)
Focus on national health issues with inquiry into such topics as the crisis of cost, the government's involvement in health care, the right to life, the dignity of dying, socialized medicine, and others. Prerequisite: HCA 301.
